6 Useful Fallback Methods For CSS

CSS is commonly known as cascading style sheets which can be defined as basically a style sheet language and it is used for describing the presentation semantics which in lay man’s language is the looks and formatting of a document that is initially written in markup language.

CSS has to perform the basic purpose of separating the content that the document has from the presentation of the document presentation that includes elements such as colors layouts and fonts. If you are working with CSS , it is very important to have a good set  of tools so that you can easily speed up the process and not only does it speed up the process but using these tools can also help simplify the work to a very great extent which is also of great help.

A few days ago, we had covered some best resources/tools for css and this time we are going to share some best fallback methods for CSS. I hope developers and designers would love to use these code in their next project. Also share your thought in our comment section below.

1) Better Check Boxes jQuery CSS

In this short tutorial, creating a replacement for the default browser checkboxes in the form of a simple jQuery plugin. It will progressively enhance your forms but at the same time fall back to the default controls if JavaScript is unavailable.

2) Fallback for CDN Hosted jQuery

3) Make a jQuery Drop Down Menu with a CSS Fall-back

If we are going to use jQuery/javascript to handle the navigation menu’s ‘popup’ effect, there will be no fallback alternative for any browser. People will just have to live with an incomplete navigation menu.

4) Detect Mobile Browsers

5) Slicebox 3d Image Slider

With the CSS3 3D transformations we can create some neat effects by transforming elements in three-dimensional space. Slicebox makes use of the 3D transforms properties and allows different kind of effects. The main idea is to create three-dimensional image slices that will rotate and reveal the next image as another side of the 3d object. In case the browser does not support 3D transformations, a simple slider will be used as fallback.

6) Rounded Cornr – CSS

This generates a basic box with rounded corners. It will create four image files and the necessary HTML and CSS code for you to put rounded corners around your content. Make sure the background color is the same as the background color of your Web page.
